Animal production is facing increasing pressure to comply with environmental legislation, so that production systems are operated in a sustainable and environmentally compatible manner. Legislation has recently been produced at national and international level to protect the environment, ensuring air and water quality levels that do not have a significant negative impact on the environment and human and animal health. In this sense, each Member State of the European Union must prepare and implement the best available techniques for environmental protection with a view to resolving the problems identified.

The Instituto Superior de Agronomia, in collaboration with FARMIN and SEGALES, proposes this postgraduate training action, the general objectives of which are to provide trainees with knowledge and skills to identify and resolve problems associated with ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT IN CATTLE FARMING.

Goals

· Identification and resolution of problems associated with effluent management;

· Know the sources and understand the mechanisms of pollution generated by animal production;

· Implement procedures that contribute to the sustainability of production systems;

· Resolution of environmental problems associated with livestock farms: air, water and soil;
