Building Species Distribution Models (SDMs), or Ecological Niche Models (ENM), is important for the advanced training of biologists, forestry, agricultural and environmental scientists developing Master's or Doctoral Theses, or other professionals (academic and non-academic). .
Goals
Participants will acquire knowledge about all stages of the species distribution modeling process, including data acquisition and integration, statistical models, and geographic visualization of projections, including uncertainty measures. The course will have a strong practical component.
Recipients
It is aimed at students, researchers and other professionals who wish to acquire theoretical and practical knowledge about modeling species occurrence, based on the concept of ecological niche and using the most reliable and recent tools implemented in the R software.
